Vladimirs Visockis (1938-1980) is one of those who are usually referred to as cult authors. However, such a designation categorically does not fit him: too pathetic, too artificial, too pretentious for his poetry, music and worldview.
Rodion Kuzmin admits that he really fell in love with Vysotsky's work already in his school years. At that time, he created a jazz interpretation of some songs, but performed these works mainly with friends. Now it's time to share with a wider audience, especially since Vysotsky himself once wrote: "When I compose my songs, I really hope that they will reach my listeners." It is impossible to repeat Vysotsky, it is pointless to imitate him, but to engage in a dialogue, let yourself through and breathe out in your own rhythm is creative and humanly honest.
Why is Vysotsky relevant today? Rodion says: "Because even today we talk about pain and captivity, about injustice, about people on the border - just like Vysotsky in his songs. And this is contrary to what we were taught and believed as children. Therefore, the name of the song "Viss ačgārni" was chosen for the title of the show. Some of Vysotsky's texts generally sound like prophecies that have come true, this proves that poets are able to predict events many years ahead."
