Great Poetry Slam Final / 2024

22. in November, at 19.00, the 2024 Latvian National Poetry Slam Championship will be held in the Kokaru Hall of the Great Stage of Mežapark, where approximately 40 poets who have entered one of the 14 Poetry Slams held in Latvia this year will be invited to participate.

As usual in Poetry Slams, this time also in the first round each participant will be given 3 minutes to recite one of their poems. After the first round, the jury and audience vote will determine which 6 participants have made it to the 2nd round. On the other hand, the 3 best participants of the second round will enter the 3rd round or the final of the Grand Final. The winner of the final will be able to represent Latvia in the European Poetry slammer championship, which will be held on 12-14 December in the city of Košice, Slovakia.

For participation in the European Poetry Slam Championship, travel and living expenses, as well as an author's fee of 500 EUR, will be covered by the funding granted by VKKF.

Entrance from 18.30 Tentative closing time – at 22.00.

Until November 1, 100 Early bird tickets are available for EUR 10, for students and pensioners – EUR 5.

After November 1 or after for the first 100 sold tickets, full price – 15 EUR, students and pensioners – 10 EUR.

On the day of the event, tickets will be available only at the entrance, full price – 20 EUR, students and pensioners – 15 EUR.

The event is organized by the Totaldobže art center.
