Ring dance of life and death, into which a person has entered. An artist, a zoologist, a connoisseur of nature and a sheep farmer working in the IT industry, who is also an astronomy enthusiast, look at the death of biological bodies in different ways. Forest ants, caterpillars under tombstones, sheep in a barn, layers of feathers and bones, and green flies hovering on rotting flesh - among it all is a man trying to understand his place in the cosmology. What is the human species in this great tapestry of transformation: a part of a stage or something similar to a superman? The new Latvian Gothic about the (im)urgency of death and the end. Maskalāns (cinematographer of the grotesque film "Leiputrija" (2004), which was nominated for the European Film Academy Award as the best documentary feature) is one of the most outstanding nature documentary observers in the Baltics, who in his latest work effectively provokes the viewer both with imagery and with existential and ethical questions. In this sensuous and carnal metamorphosis detective, the viewer sees the less visible, unconscious or retouched part of life – death – which sometimes allows you to enter a rare cinematic experience outside the comfort zone. Nothing ends with the end and the "red claws and teeth" of nature - this is exactly where this film begins.
