Recommended for ages 16+ Lia is a retired teacher who feels tired of life. She has promised to take care of her long-lost sister's daughter Tekla, who has left her native Georgia for Turkey. When a neighbor, young Achi, hints at her whereabouts, the steadfast Lia knows what to do. Both are going to Istanbul - two more different travelers could not be imagined. Once you get to the cat-covered city of street mazes, it's almost impossible to find a person in this bustle. However, Lia feels her relative nearby... About the meaning layers of border crossing in human life. Akin, the director of the queer film "And then we danced" (2019), which caused wide resonance and protests in Georgia, continues to refresh with elegiac, caressing and "wise heart" cinema. As the textures of Istanbul play with the possibility of two ideologies approaching each other in the thick topography, the director activates cinema's greatest potential: empathy.
