Recommended for ages 16+ For carefully considered reasons the forces of light and darkness have chosen the Opal coast in the north of France as their sandbox. Something has finally happened in this fishing village - a rare child has been born. It's so welcome and special that it turns the dreary and boring place into the supernatural kingdom of galactic parties. The child's father, Johnny, is the Lord of Evil, who is left to fight with the attractive fighter for justice, Jane. Despite the space fighters already aiming their lasers, Johnny is unable to resist the urges of his human form. He is madly infatuated with Jane and thinks about passionate moments of togetherness... No one from the French intellectual Dimon ("Shining Bay" (2016)) expected "Star Wars" in a seaside climate with combative fisher-Jedi who ride horses, slaughter on the beach and purr something what about the last day. In the middle of it all, there is a drifting Palace of Versailles... What's more, the epic spread of science fiction and auteur cinema surprised the Berlinale, awarding it with the jury prize. Blatantly poking fun at the history of French imperialism, the Napoleonic syndrome and the intricacies of Western Rome, the incredible idle slapstick is one of the boldest films of the year. A flower of French actors – Fabrice Lucchini, Camille Cotin, Annamarie Bartholomew and many others – parodies Frodo Baggins, Darth Vader, Doctor Strangelove and other pop culture culprits. You might not believe it, but it all makes a lot of 'sense' too.
