Recommended for ages 16+ The most ordinary of us and their extraordinary fetishes. One of them makes a rooster costume to involuntarily fantasize about revenge on the neighbor. This same neighbor likes to think of herself as a strict, sadomasochistic lady. Meanwhile, the postwoman scrubs the pulps of the bread into small balls. The owner of the newsstand feels a mad attraction to the news moderator, while her husband rubs his flesh to a shine after police shifts. The drives of the six complement each other in incredible ways. Švankmajer's third full-length film takes us into the decameronic stories of Prague - at the center of which is a man in search of stimulation, satisfaction and pleasure. These are rituals steeped in the psychoanalysis of Buñuel, de Sade, Freud, Ernst and others, which irritate the viewer's senses and are supplemented with absurd animation and static shots. By turning the actors into "non-animated objects", Švankmajer managed to overcome the challenges of modern communication in this phantasmagorical fairy tale - there are no dialogues in the film, therefore the trivial, the perverse, the predictable and also the ruthlessly true are revealed in pure action.
