Once the curator of the Pompidou Museum embarrassed the director Leos Carax with an unusual question: who are you?

As an answer to this question, the resourceful director has created an ironic cinema biography in which he has combined films, history and real life in the visionary provocateur's personal manifesto, "THIS IS NOT ME!" .

The effect has exceeded expectations. A vivid, juicy film essay has come together about a man who defines his life through cinema.

So many intriguing hints and references! Everything that has influenced his choices and tastes: the films he likes - from the silent cinema of Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau and Jean Vigo to the classics of Hollywood's Golden Age - or the films he made during his stormy career.

This exciting journey is also complete without the wonderful music of David Bowie and Nina Simone, Ravel and Beethoven.

People unfamiliar with the creation of Leos Carax may be confused, but true moviegoers will be in for an ecstatic admiration.
