After a successful performance in 2023, The Italian Tenors returns to Riga with a new program and favorite hits of Italian pop songs and arias
16. in October ATTA CENTER will perform the phenomenon of the Italian variety opera The Italian Tenors.
The Italian Tenors is a trio made up of some of Italy's most successful tenors, Evan Tonon, Sabino Gaita and Luca Sala. In a grandiose concert program, they combine famous Italian opera arias and pop songs with the help of their classically choreographed voices and original arrangements. Their repertoire includes songs like Lucio Dalla Caruso, The Love theme from The Godfather, Leonard Cohen Hallelujah, Time to Say Goodbye, Piccola e Fragile, Gloria and many more.
The Italian Tenors Concert highlights the Italian charm and vocalist performance power. An evening with a live group of Italian musicians promises to be an incredible musical montage with vocal passion and excellent entertainment.
The new album of the musical group will be released at the end of 2022 and will mark the trio's tenth year of worldwide activity. They expanded their repertoire to include famous songs from other countries, such as the Mexican song Besame Mucho; or Tonight, American composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein; or the famous Australian ballad Waltzing Matilda; or Sto Perigiali To Kryfo (Mysterious Seashore), the favorite song of the Greek composer Mika Theodorakis. The Italian tenors will be accompanied on this trip by the five-piece Italian band Babaarum.
The trio consists of Italian singers Sabino Gaita, Luca Sala and Evan Tonon. Sabino is from southern Italy, but moved to Milan at a young age to study music. He plays the saxophone, clarinet and piano and also likes to write pop songs. When not traveling with Italian tenors, Sabino collaborates with the Turin Opera House. Luca studied music in Milan, where he met Sabino at the local conservatory. In addition to singing, he plays the flute and writes songs for many famous Italian artists, including a song that won the 2012 Sanremo Festival, Italy's famous pop music festival. Evan studied music in London and Rome. Before joining The Italian Tenors, he played several leading roles in many Italian opera houses. Passionate about all performing arts, he is a professional actor and voice actor appearing in Italian films, series and shows.
