Brilliant composers of different eras have focused on this dance genre, leaving an invaluable legacy for both musicians and listeners. Our concert program will feature the great waltzes of Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Khachaturian, Sibelius, Darzis and other composers. The majestic atmosphere of Riga's St. Paul's Church in the light of hundreds of candles, perfect acoustics, light design and the best musicians - all this in the concert program "Waltz by candlelight" on December 28, 2024! Organ - Ilona BirĢele (internationally recognized organist, leader of the Historical Organ Festival);
Violin - Ilze Kirsanova (musician of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra);
Cello - Irina Viļegžanina ( laureate of international competitions, soloist and member of various chamber ensembles);
Harp - Ekaterina Suvorova (musician of the Latvian National Opera Orchestra);
Percussion - Virdžīnija Laube-Vītiņa (musician of the Latvian National Opera Orchestra)
