Carl Winther will perform at the upcoming concert original music that combines the traditions of American jazz music, melodic Scandinavian sound textures, Latin American rhythms and abstract compositions.

The concert will feature musicians whose energetic approach, professionalism and musical skill will not leave the audience indifferent. The internationally recognized bass player Makar Novikov and the talented Latvian drummer Ivars Arutjunjans will also play together with the Vinther trio. Carl Winther, the son of the legendary Danish trumpeter Jens Winther, has been touring the world for many years, performing with such jazz stars as Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Billy Hart, Jeff Tain Watts and many others. This concert will be the trio's only appearance in Riga, and promises to be an unforgettable musical evening.

The sound of the evening will be complemented by the outstanding DJ and founder of the jazz label Jersika Records, Mareks Ameriks, who will play specially selected songs in the Angara concert hall , well-known and not-so-well-known compositions from his best wide selection.
