Indulge in a glorious and scenic audiovisual journey at our Hangar concert hall, where the acoustic guitar virtuoso duo Ian Ethan Case from USA and Gints Smukais.

The concert program will present compositions from the musicians' first of the original music album "Landscapes", which was recorded in 2024 in Boston (USA). At the concerts, Gints Smukais and Ian Ītans Keiss will also play well-known Latvian and foreign melodies, revealing to the audience the subtle musical world of the masterfully managed guitar finger playing style, where all genres can meet. The performed music will intertwine with visual projections filmed by Latvian videographers Kristaps Ungurs, Annija Mangale and others, creating an unforgettable world of soundscapes.

GINTS SMUKAIS
Gints Smukais is a guitarist who developed his guitar playing skills from the age of 14, by getting to know and learning composition and guitar playing in a percussive finger style. Gints Smukais has won awards at prestigious international guitar competitions in the USA and Canada, regularly performs at concerts both as a solo artist, performing his own compositions, and in cooperation with well-known musicians and associations in Latvia. His album "Flourish" was nominated for the "Golden Microphone" award as the debut of 2018. As the first Baltic "fingerstyle" guitarist, he performed at "NAMMshow2018" in California, represented Latvia at "Tallinn Music Week" (2021) and with the joint project "BĒRZIņŠ JAUNAIS SMUKAIS" was nominated for the Latvian Music Recordings of the Year Award in the category "2022. instrumental or cross-genre album of the year".

IAN ETHAN KEYS
Ian Ethan Keys is an acoustic double-fret guitar virtuoso who is considered one of the most creative and engaging fingerstyle guitarists in the world. Ian has performed all over the USA, Canada, many places in Europe and elsewhere. His unrepeatable and unique playing style and compositional sense have won high praise from music reviewers and various great masters of guitar playing. Case has released several albums and collaborated with such well-known musicians as Victor Wooten, Stanley Jordan, GoGo Penguin and Grammy winners Eugene Friesen and Paul McCandless. After the album "Earth Suite" (2018), which featured 12 guest musicians, he returned to the solo format in 2023, complementing the acoustic game with percussion and electronic effects harmoniously integrated into his performance.
