Mārcis Auziņš is a guitarist and composer who says about himself: "Playing a solo concert on one instrument is my element and a lifelong challenge. It is the continuous breaking down of musical boundaries and the search for new challenges, highlighting the guitar as a solo instrument".
As a solo artist, Mārcis Auziņš has released 6 solo albums, including "Citādi Citsāti" (2023) and "Carpe Diem" (2021). He has been nominated three times for the "Zelta Mikrofons" award in the category of instrumental or cross-genre music. Mārcis Auziņš has created music for both theater performances (for example, the play "Aukle" by the Latvian National Theater and the play "Vidzemnieki" by the Valmiera Drama Theater) and television programs. With extensive concert experience in Latvia and internationally, he has collaborated with such prominent composers as Raimonds Pauls and Zigmars Liepiņš, as well as with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra. The artist is also an innovative educator, having created the first online guitar training platform "Guitar Anatomy".
