Folk pagan metal band SKYFORGER, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025, invites all friends and supporters to the launch party of its new eighth consecutive album next year on May 3rd in Arena Riga.

The members of the group have been working on new songs in recent years, which again will tell about forgotten pages of Latvian history. The common theme of the album is ancient Latvian myths and beliefs. This will be the band's latest studio album in the last ten years.

Skyforger vocalist Pēteris Kvetkovskis says: "Long gone are the days when old songs were composed and handed down orally from generation to generation beliefs, fables and fairy tales. It is clear that such traditions will never return or be revived. Fortunately for us, much has been written down and preserved. In this album, we want to give the listener the opportunity to return to those ancient 'legendary' times, when gods, devils, witches, werewolves lived next to us, and all around Latvia there were so many mystical and mysterious places that our ancestors knew how to tell about."

Skyforger will rock new and old, well-known and beloved songs in this two-hour long concert. The concert will be supplemented with an impressive visual presentation, as well as some special guests whose names will be revealed later the first performance of SKYFORGER this year in Latvia!

SKYFORGER (Latvian - Skysmith) was formed in 1995, when the guys from the doom metal band "Grindmaster Dead" decided to take on new musical challenges and focused on the history and traditions of their ancestors.The band's sound is a peculiar mix between pagan / folk / heavy / black metal styles. The main topics are events dedicated to Latvia - ancient history, Latvian archers, heroic tales, ancient mythology and rituals.

During its 30 years of existence, SKYFORGER has released seven full-length albums and performed concerts in more than 30 countries, winning the hearts of many fans in Latvia and the world with the interesting mix of Latvian traditional music with heavy rock.

With its attractive stage image, it is undoubtedly the best-known Latvian heavy rock band abroad, and also ranks among the leading bands in the world within the pagan metal style.
