On June 19, the American heavy rock group Halestorm will perform in the "Palladium" concert hall. Although they are famous for their intensive concert activity (up to 250 performances per year), the group had not yet visited our country. studio albums (currently working on the sixth), received a Grammy award for the single Love Bites (So Do I), collaborated with a number of other famous musicians and, as already mentioned, performed thousands of concerts in many parts of the world.

Halestorm's repertoire in Riga is expected to be made up of the "golden fund" of the group: Love Bites (So Do I), I Get Off, Familiar Taste of Poison, Freak Like Me, I Am the Fire, Mz. Hyde, I Miss The Misery, The Steeple, Back From the Dead plus brand new musical material.

Sister and brother - lead songwriter, vocalist and guitarist Lizzy Hale and drummer Arejay Hale - created Halestorm when they were still teenagers. Lizzie had started learning the piano since the age of 5, later switching to the guitar while Arjay learned to play the drums. When Lizzie was only 13 and Arjay was 10 years old, they started writing original music and performing. Strong support was provided by their father Roger, who initially played bass parts in the group. Currently, in addition to Hales, guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith also play in the band.

The dedication and perseverance of the young people in 2005 led to a recording contract with Atlantic Records. In 2006, the small-volume album "One and Done" was released, followed by the debut full-volume disc "Halestorm" in 2009.
The turning point was the songs Love Bites (So Do I) success, receiving the Grammy Award for Best Heavy Rock/Metal Performance in 2013. It is significant that Halestorm is the first group with a female vocalist who was nominated and won in this category.
Also in 2013, with the composition Freak Like Me, they managed to reach the very top of the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. Two years later, Halestorm's third studio album "Into the Wild Life" (2015) reached number 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, and the group celebrated its 2,000th concert. In 2018, the formation received a new Grammy nomination, this time for the song Uncomfortable in the best rock performance category. a strong incentive to pursue a career. Therefore, the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, when not only concerts, but even meetings between members were prohibited for periods, became a real test of relationships and mental health. Commenting on the message of the album made during the pandemic and released in 2022, Lizija emphasizes: ""Back From The Dead" is not only about [our] industry; this applies to everything, whether you're struggling with mental health issues or trying to overcome a relationship crisis or getting out of something that didn't work for you, we're all here now, ready to stick our horns in the sky and say we've been through it ".

Due to her strong vocals and charismatic personality, a number of other musicians and bands are eager to collaborate with Lizzie Hale. Let's just mention the well-known cellists in our country Apocalyptica (Talk To Me), the Mongolian hard rock phenomenon The Hu (Song of Women), Evanescence (Use My Voice), GWAR (The Cutter), Dream Theater (Our New World) and a number of others. In the summer of 2024, Lizzie was invited as the vocalist of the rock group Skid Row for the group's US tour. Then the joint work of Halestorm and the rock group I Prevail Can U See Me in the Dark came out?

At the end of August 2024, in an interview with the Louisville radio station PK, the musicians of Halestorm reveal that despite intense concert schedule, having already recorded about 70-80% of the material of the sixth studio album. Accordingly, it is quite safe to expect that a fresher composition will be heard at the Riga concert.
