"It's Opera" - an evening where the classic meets the modern.
The program includes the most famous fragments of classical opera that have won the hearts of millions of listeners.
From Bizet and Verdi Aries, intimate lyrics and bright duets to music inspired by artists who have reviewed this genre: Andrea Bočelli, Lara Fabian, Emma Shaplina.
This concert offers a new view of the opera and its change over the centuries, while maintaining its strength and emotional depth.
It is an opera that even those who had previously avoided this genre will understand and feel.
On the stage:
Julia Vasilyev - one of the brightest stars of the Latvian National Opera, known for its musical sensitivity, vocal purity and stage expression. Her repertoire has more than twenty key roles. She regularly performs on the Italian and German Opera Stage, where her art always delights both the audience and the critics.
Raimonds Bramanis is a tenor whose sincerity and sound power affect different roles, from lyrical to dramatic. Soloist of the Latvian National Opera, winner of the "Latvijas Gāze" Annual Awards. His voice has sounded on the stages of Estonia, Germany and other European countries.
"It's Opera" is not a genre demonstration, but a living musical dialogue. Possibility to hear the opera otherwise. Feel its freshness, topicality, human truth - as it has always been.
Welcome you on September 26 to St. The Paul's Church, where the warm candlelight, the architectural harshness of the Lutheran church and the perfectly balanced acoustics will create a special space for the perception of music.
