A poignant play about childhood, growing up, and the struggles of life that can be equally devastating at any age. How to bypass the dangerous reefs that can keep young people from destructive passions and self-destruction? The answer lies in us, if we are not indifferent, of course, and in the theater too, because in its arsenal is the compelling truth of artistic narrative.
The play begins and ends with parting: the father divorces the mother and the son ends up leaving the family. Children do not always accept the world that adults have created for them, even if it seems perfect and harmonious. The truth of the story lies in several important questions: Why does one so quickly and so easily forget how difficult it is to be a teenager? Why does he treat his child completely differently than he once wanted his father to act? At what point do we adults turn into “our parents”? How to be heard by a loved one? And what do children expect from their parents in this difficult age full of deep contradictions?
The drama of misunderstanding traumatizes both parties involved. There are many temptations for youth to overcome suffering in the simplest way - with alcohol and drugs, which in the end only increase the pain of parents. The show is a poignant invitation to get along with the people closest to you. Only moving towards the other promises salvation. “Was I a good father?” the main character asks himself this question and realizes that he has missed something important - the growth of his son, because he thought too much about "how to properly raise children".
In the show, open and important conversations about life are accompanied by popular music that vividly reflects the rebellious and unyielding spirit of youth. This is a show for kids and parents about kids and parents.
