When you are seven years old, it is easy to see that life is wonderful and the world is full of wonders. It's much harder to convince adults of that... including yourself when you're not seven anymore.

...Okay, what do adults usually believe? Correct: For what can be seen and touched. For example, for a document. Or for the list. So, let's make a list! More precisely, a list of all the wonderful things in the world. For everything worth living for.

The play by contemporary British writer and director Duncan McMillan (who has not received a single award for his dramaturgy) was written in 2014 and has not been performed so far. has not been translated into Russian. This funny and poignant work subtly but convincingly touches on issues that are rarely discussed on stage (and off). In addition, the author is convinced: the highest task of the theater is to intervene in life and talk about it in the most honest and direct way. And the play "The Precious Stones of Life" is his way of stepping in and telling everyone who needs to hear it, right here and now: "You're not alone; you're not funny; you'll make it..."
